Mon voyage au Sultanat d'Oman avec mon neveu de 10 ans a été une belle expérience. Le Sultanat d'Oman est
plein de surprise et de beautés cachées.
Mais ce qui a beaucoup contribué au plaisir de ce voyage est l'accompagnement de notre guide Noman. Pour
mon neveu, c'était son premier grand voyage à l'étranger, et en bivouacs et Noman sait très bien s'adapter au
rythme des enfants, pour faire découvrir et apprécier Oman et sa culture.
La découverte d'Oman pour les adultes et les enfants à travers les marches dans les wadi et le désert, a été
enrichie par les explications d'Oman et par les rencontres rendu possible par Noman.
Les bivouacs étaient aussi un grand moment de convivialité, toujours dans des endroits de rêve. La cuisine était
délicieuse malgré les conditions sommaires. Les poissons frais aux épices cuient au feu de bois étaient de vrai
régale. Les enfants ont aussi beaucoup apprécié la cuisine, ce qui n'est pas toujours évident.
Les enfants ont été ravis par les jeux le soir au bivouac, notamment le jeu du moustique que Noman leur a montré.
Ce que j'ai beaucoup apprécié c'est l'effort permanent de Noman et de son collègue Mohammed pour nous satisfaire,
aussi bien pour la logistique, que pour la découverte du pays.
J'espère pouvoir renouveler cette expérience au Yemen avec Noman.

My trip to Oman with my nephew 10 years old was a great experience.The Sultanate of Oman is full of
surprises and hidden beauties.
But what has contributed much to the pleasureof this trip is our guide Noman.For my nephew it was his
first major trip abroad with bivouacs and Noman knows very well adapt to the pace of the children, to discover
and appreciate Oman and its culture. The discovery of Oman for adults and children through the walking the
wadi and desert has been enriched by explanations of Oman and meetings with people made possible by Noman.
The bivouacs were also a great moment of conviviality, always in dream locations.The food was delicious despite
the summary conditions.
Fresh fish with spices cooked in the woodfire were a real treat.The children also enjoyed the food, which is not
always obvious.
The children were delighted by the evening bivouac games, including the game of mosquito, showen by Noman.
What I really appreciated is the ongoing effort of Noman and his colleague Mohammed to satisfy us both for
logistics and for the discovery of the country. I hope to repeat this experience in Yemen with Noman.

*September 2012: we have just started to travel through Yemen again with our clients. However, there are regions that are not stable enough and therefore we do not go there for safety reasons (Aden, Hadramout, Wadi Doan, Saada, Shahara, Marib and the desert). The regions that we do offer are: Sanaà, Jebel Haraz, Jebel Bura, Al Mahwit, Taiz, the Red Sea and Socotra.
